Our adventure began on Thursday March 5th  at 6:30 in the morning by flying from Washington, DC to Tampa, FL. We were met in Tampa by my cousin Catherine and proceed to pick our rental van that would transport 6 women and all their luggage to Fort Lauderdale Hard Rock Casino Hotel for the night. (For those of you who are wondering…yes, they do make a van large enough to fit 6 women and all their luggage!)  Let the party begin.  Five hours on the road goes fast with a van full of chatty women.  Yours truly is the designated driver to and from.

We arrive in Fort Lauderdale at the Hard Rock around dinner time. Have a beautiful room at the Hard Rock, a little dinner, a little gambling, and early to bed.  Friday morning we have to be on the road and at the Port of Miami by 11:00.  With morning traffic, the 30 minute drive was more like an hour plus.
